Way to go Mr. “G”

This past weekend I was at a training camp for Royal Rangers leaders, as you know if you were reading last week.  (I promise Kid, this is the last I will bring it up for a while.)   I have mentioned in previous posts, how I feel American Christianity has taken manhood away from men in the evangelical church.  It was something I had even seen in the christian school boys attending churches that our family attended in the past.

We Need Prayer for Tomorrow

Marc adn I are preparing for his disability hearing in Waco tomorrow.

This is a very stressful time for us, as we put together his medical records for the last 26 years and letters from his doctors, etc. We are both nervous, although trusting God, because if they turn us down again it will be a financial hardship. Read More

Porn is Not Just a Guy Thing

I am constantly amazed by the number of women who are steadfastly against pornography and yet they are involved with what I term “Chick Porn”.  Honestly, I don’t get it.

Pornography….the naked 18 year olds (with breast enhancements and lots of airbrush and computer generated fixes) in gymnastic poses is, by most people’s ethics, a detriment to a committed relationship.  No real woman can live up to those nubile young girls, and fulfill her man’s fantasy in quite the same way, no matter how much she tries.  Men get excited based on fantasy rather  than reality and eventually it can cause big problems. Being visual creatures those images are etched on their brains and pop up at all the wrong moments. Read More
