Marriage Builder Monday
This is so cool Many thanks to Sarah for coming up with this..Ladies, if this tugs at you as being a way to strengthen you own marriage check out her Marriage Builder Mondays
In the early weeks, months and even years of marriage it is easy to remember the small gestures that mean so much..you do them automatically because..you know..you’re in LOVE.
And then life creeps in wearing a onesie, or alot of late nights at work, or even a ministry and those things that were so very automatic at the beginning are forgotten. But those were the very things that brought passion and love into your lives.
Just like faith without works is dead so marriage without works is on it’s way to middle aged boredom..where you sit in the same room watching a stupid t.v. show and eating popcorn but never talking or touching.
Ew. That is no kind of life!
When Marc lost his job God opened the door, actually threw opened the floodgates, and my freelance writing and blogging took off. It was enough to support us.
But all of a sudden, rather than being a wife and mom…I was the breadwinner, and that was a responsibility that I had never felt before.
We have spent the last year adjusting to his disabilities, medications, and employment stuff…to our changing roles. And during that time some of the gestures that I have been so good about…have fallen by the wayside.
Accountability is a good thing. So…I will for the next week resume writing in the blog I made for him, View From the Tower. After that I will commit to at LEAST twice a week.
I know he looked forward to reading it…and I loved writing in it. :)
Keep me accountable, y’all!

I’m seriously LOL at your comment about the saran wrap! There might come a day where I think less about how I look and more about how Tom would LOVE it!
I think it’s fantastic that you are devoting a blog just for your husband - what a great way to honor him!!
