Diary of a Married Bachelor - Day 6

8:30 AM - After a long night’s sleep I think I’ve shaken whatever was trying to bring me down last night. Here’s to a strong finish… and safe travel for Kerri.

10:00 AM - Breakfast is over. Everyone is dressed. I was gonna start some school, but the kids are all playing together pretty well. I’ll work on the floor until they start fighting.

11:00 AM - No fighting yet, but I’m gonna have to get started anyway.

12:30 PM - Lego hunting… now that brings back memories of my own childhood. BTW, we’re between lessons, so no I didn’t decide to blow off school completely.

2:15 PM - Lunch time. I can do ham sandwiches again, but I’m gonna need something other than hot dogs for dinner.

3:30 PM - Samantha has an invite to play at the neighbor’s, so it looks like Art will have to wait for another day.

4:30 PM - Kerri called. Minor nervous breakdown on my part, but I’m better now. The details will have to wait for another day.

5:30 PM - Since Samantha’s having dinner with the aforementioned neighbor, the boys and I are sneaking out for a treat of our own. Hopefully I can talk them into something other than McDonald’s.

7:00 PM - Success! The boys opted for Bob Evans. Breakfast is good anytime around here.

8:15 PM - Five days down. It’s just a matter of hours now… hours all to myself.
