My Fruit Roll-Ups
Double Trouble! It’s Bloggy Giveaway time and Marriage Actually Big Purge 2008! We’ll be giving away a few prizes over the next few weeks to celebrate both our blogging anniversary and our wedding anniversary. A full list of prizes can be found here. We’ll be adding more in the coming days, so check back!
Our first prize is a part of the Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Giveaway Carnival. We’ve got a $30 gift code for My Fruit Roll-Ups. I remember when Fruit Roll-Ups first came out. Back then there was only one design: square. The cool thing to do was wad it up into a big ball, pop it into your mouth and try not to choke. Good times… :)
I think my kids would get into some personalized Fruit Roll-Ups. Maybe even a little too much. We’ve got a “pack rat” streak in this family, so it wouldn’t surprise me one of them decided to save the snack and add it to a collection that I would have the joy of discovering later on.
Anyway, you’re probably ready for the details. To enter leave a comment on this post. Fruity stories, puns or jokes are always appreciated. A few rules:
- One entry per email address. Comments must be posted by 11:59 PM EDT on Saturday, April 26th. Kerri and I will be the sole arbiters of “spam.”
- The winner will be announced on April 27 in a separate post and contacted via email.
- Contest is open to US residents only.
Be sure to checkout the complete list of blogs participating in this quarter’s Givaways!

This only works as a fruit joke when you remember that tomato is a fruit.
Why was the tomato red?
He saw the salad dressing!
Hahaheehoho

Fruity stories? Humm….. Good question? I honestly don’t have any. I asked my husband too. He can’t think of any that pertain to fruit. We bought grapes recently that were covered in lovely white little sweaters (MOLDY!) but that wasn’t really funny. It was rather gross if you ask me. LOL!!!!

There once was a rollup named fruity
Whose designs made him actually snooty
We got them online
So the kids all could dine
On fruit ’cause they are quite the cutie!
Is a limerick okay :-)?

A guy has celery sticking out of one ear, lettuce out of the other, and a zucchini up his nose.
He goes to the doctor and asks him what’s wrong.
The doctor tells him, “Well, for one thing, you’re not eating right

I wasn’t allowed to have fruit roll ups for a long time (I had to take fresh veggies and fruits for snacks), but mom finally let me buy a box when I was in the third grade, and I was so happy!
If I won these I would give them to my classroom!

I really want to win a box of these. We’re getting married this year and there’s quite a few kids that are going to be there so these would be great favors. I don’t have any funny stories, sorry… but if you think about our wedding with a bunch of munchins running around and babies crying, while my daughter will probably keep yelling MAMA during the ceremony, that might be good for a few laughs.

Q: What’s the best book to read at lunchtime?
A: The Lunch Sack of Notre Dame.
My kids love that joke, they are both avid readers and always have a book on them, even at lunchtime at school…

Well, over Valentines there were dozens of these being given away and I entered them all. Some times they asked for the worst valentines story, or the best, and I won 3 boxes! My friend was teasing me because she wouldn’t feed that garbage to her kids. Well, just to be funny, she entered and WON a box. Foot in mouth disease ensued. Now I see her entering these things this time, too. That would be Michelle at North of the 49, she is entered here, too. LOL
