Single Again!
So, my week Bacchanalian fun is drawing to an end. Kerri arrives home tomorrow, so I’d been get the beer bottles thrown away and glitter vacuumed up. ;)
Seriously, four days to myself and I accomplished the following:
- Easter dinner with the folks - It felt GOOD to break the fast!
- 30 or so hours of work in three days
- Half the basement cleared of junk and ready to be reclaimed as usable space
- A trip to Goodwill (Thanks for the truck, dad.)
- A new song written
- Ideas for an upcoming kitchen remodel
- And the remaining carpet pulled up in our bedroom
All in all a productive few days. What about you? What do you do when you’re spouse heads out of town? Do you try and knock out a bunch of stuff from the “honey-do” jar, or do you lay back and take it easy?

Well– if he leaves, I am alone with a 15 month old child, so I try to do everything that two parents would normally do, plus have some sort of life on my own. If he ever takes the child with, which has yet to happen, I might throw a big ass party! LOL!

My idea of a party was a bit of Sudoku on the computer with a bowl of ice cream before bed. Ye verily, I am old. :)

I’d probably have two beers on the back deck with friends and then pass out (as in fall asleep, not pass out from the alcohol). LOL!

Over the course of the four days I did manage to consume two beers myself. I’m such a lush! :)

A call may be beyond me, but perhaps you could “accidentally” leave this post up on his computer… and set it as his desktop wallpaper… and as the wallpaper in your bedroom… and as the paper in the bathroom. Remember: Guys aren’t generally good at hints. :)
