So, last night all three kids spent the night with grandma. While that in and of itself it a pretty cool thing, it gets better. Not only were Kerri and I sans children, but our friends from down the street were too! Go, go gadget grandparents!

We’ve known our neighbor’s for almost a year and have spent many evenings together playing games and such, but all previous gatherings have involved our children, too. For the first time ever, the four of us were able to spent an evening without cutting someone else’s food, refereeing toddlers or negotiating bedtimes. Four adults, no children… and not even a babysitter to get back home to. It was wonderfully refreshing to spend time as a couples and not as parents.

For the record; The Mexican food was fantastic; Kerri and I both bowled horribly; and the guys and girls each took one game of Euchre.
