Happy New Year’s Eve!
We’re here at the last day of 2007. How are you going to send it out?
We actually have a grandparent offering to take all the kids, and Bald Man and I thought for a moment about actually going out to celebrate. As we were talking about it, we realized that we’ve never actually gone out for New Year’s. We’ve always either spent it with my parents, or at a friend’s house playing games, or a combination of both. Even before having kids, we were always hanging at someone’s house.
And even with the offer this year, we’ll be staying home. Some friends are coming over, lots of games will be played, a few margaritas will be consumed, and the kids can all be put to bed! Because as fun as going out sounds, our ideal evening (whether holidays or not) are usually games with friends in someone’s home. Life doesn’t get much better than that.

We decided to stay home for our New Years as well. There were plenty of places we were invited to but did not want to deal with a crowded party full of drunken idiots. Even running to the liquor store to get Champange was a fiasco. But I’m glad we stayed home, which was what we did last year, with just him and I and a few glasses of bubbly and a midnight kiss. : ]
