The Dreaded “M-Word”
No not mother-in-law… I’m talking about that other “M-Word.” The one that last I heard really is a factor in the majority of divorces. Yes, I’m talking about money.
It’s odd how the brain works sometimes. My university degree is in finance and economics; my career is in the qualified retirement plan industry; I keep the books for the household; and yet it had not occurred to me to write on the topic of money here until now… after Jimmy @ Your Credit Advisor emailed me a heads up on this article about, well, Marriage and Money.
Head on over and give his primer a read. Though I don’t agree with all of his advice, he covers the broad topics you’ll want to consider: Budgets, Debt, Death and more.
And now that he’s given me this brill idea, I’ll be sure to share more of my own thoughts on money in the future.

I wouldn’t exclude the MIL as a reason for divorce either ;)
