In What Area Do You Want Encouragement from Your Spouse?

Time for another question, y’all. Whether or not you answer here in the comments - which is always welcome - is less important than whether or not you answer the question in your relationship.

We’ve been on an encouraging kick of late, so I’m going to keep running with this theme and ask: In what area do you want encouragement from your spouse?

My answer at the moment remains work and faith. In both areas she has been a long time encourager of mine, and I so value that support. I’ve recently said goodbye to a number of other responsibilities here at b5media in order to free time and attention for some developing opportunities at my full time career. All this comes on the heels of a couple really long work weeks during which Kerri was fantasmically supportive. As the bread-winner, career person in the family, knowing she’s behind me is essential.

My Christian faith is the other area in which she has been and continues to be a great encourager. If you’ve ever popped over to my personal blog, you know that matters of faith and Christian living are a big part of what I devote my attention to. In the last few years my approach and perspective toward Christian living have changed radically. Some might say I’ve gone off the deep end; I prefer to say I’m venturing into the deep end. It’s a subtle, but important, distinction, yes? Kerri’s encouragement has been and remains essential to my spiritual journey.
