On being your spouse’s greatest supporter…
“Big ‘G’, little ‘o’, Go-Go!!!”
It’s the message that comes from Bald Man
with every challenge I face,
through every goal I want to reach.
I never doubt,
when I want to quit
when I question my abilities
when I hate the journey,
that he will be my
greatest cheerleader.
No skirts or pompons for him
(though maybe if I asked nicely),
but an unwavering assurance
that he will never give up on me
even when I’m tempted to give up on myself.
Not through a megaphone does he claim his support,
but by walking the journeys with me,
high-fiving when I’m doing well,
standing by me when I’m not.
And never leaving the playing field.
I hope he knows that I’m his biggest cheerleader, too.
Because I’m so proud of him.
And I look better in a skirt.

That was… something. I would say I cried, but then you would never know if it was because of the quality of your poetry or the things you said. No, actually that is a great way of putting it. My wife and I said similar things in our vows some 3 years ago and I still find myself trying to do splits and toe touches for her.
Oh, and you most likely do look better in a skit than me too (But I’ve seen Baldie’s legs…. growl).

Rantz: Are you making fun of me? I never know whether or not you’re just teasing. :P But, yeah, I wrote that skirt bit and thought I might actually be wrong. Poetic license. :D

Kerri: Having reread my comment, I can’t see where you would think that I was trying to make fun of you? I’m really sure you’d look better than me in a skirt. I’ve seen you in a skirt and I’ve seen… errrr… yeah :)

Rantz: Not about the skirt, silly. And I don’t want to know anymore about you and your fettishes. Unless they’re funny. Then maybe.
